Sentinel

Sentinel is a computer and network controlled registration system using magnetic swipe cards to register both pupil and lecturer. The software has many enhanced features such as photographic identification and colour coding for your visual attendance registration codes.

Sentinel can produce many relevant attendance reports including daily absences, three day absences, a weekly summary, and all DfES required statistics. In addition, interfacing with the fire alarm system allows instant printouts of student and staff location.

Because the Sentinel system is modular your school has huge flexibility on how the system is introduced. It could be for your whole school, a couple of buildings, or for a certain year – sixth forms are a good example.

New school buildings can also be easily added to the Sentinel attendance system. With the added security of access control for sensitive areas, a modular system becomes even more beneficial.

Sentinel card readers are very resilient to the punishment pupils like to give to school property. Only 3 card readers have been vandalised over the last four years out of thousands in use every day.
